• Slating: We have many teams of qualified slaters, providing services such as green Westmorland slating, Welsh slating, Spanish slating, strip & recover work, and heritage & conservation work (see also our heritage division Matthew Charlton Slaters).
• Tiling: We have regular contracts with most of the major builders of homes in the region and supply and fix roof tiles from various manufacturers, including Decra, Forticrete, Marley Eternit, Russell, Redland, and Wienerberger (Sandtoft).
• Leadwork: We have invested heavily in training in recent years to ensure that key members of our team have the necessary skills and expertise to provide high-quality leadwork services.

Our Operations

Wensley Roofing operates from our premises in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, which provides easy access to all parts of the North East region and beyond. Our facilities include office accommodation, meeting rooms, and a training area, as well as storage and parking spaces. We also have a fleet of commercial vehicles and company cars for our management team.

Our Staff

We have a permanent workforce of fully qualified slaters, tilers, felt roofers, and lead workers. Our team leaders report to our Contracts Manager or senior management, and all our operatives have achieved NVQ level 2 or 3 in Slating and Tiling. We also have office staff who cover a range of duties, including site supervision, estimating, purchase ordering, accountancy, stock control, valuations, and typing/reception.
